What are the side effects of using Resp-Aid or the Bronchitis Gold Relief Kit if your dog is also on pharmaceutical medications? My 11-yr. old American Bull Dog mix had kennel cough 4 times in a six-month period. She has very slight traces of pneumonia and they are waiting for the cultures to come back to determine which antibiotic to use. They put her on pharmaceuticals and I was told that she will probably be on a steroid inhaler for the rest of her life. Is it safe?
There are no contraindications between our supplements and pharmaceutical medications. There are no side effects with Resp-Aid, and the formulas are all very gentle.
Some supplements, like anything, may be harmful in large amounts, however our supplements were formulated by a holistic veterinarian and master herbalist to be safe for long term use in pets. We have seen very good success with Resp-Aid in helping pets with chronic respiratory issues. Some are able to avoid steroid use; however each pet and every case is different. If you are concerned about the effects of all the different medications your pup has been on for her liver, we would recommend Milk Thistle to help support detoxification and liver function.
In this case it might also be beneficial to add some immune support. Our supplement Stimmune can be very beneficial in helping to support the immune system and helping to prevent recurrent infections.
