My senior pet is having eye issues. The vet says that it's "degenerating lens nuclear sclerosis". Do you have anything that can help with this condition?

Nuclear or lenticular sclerosis is a normal age-related change that occurs in the eyes of aging dogs. It happens when the lens gradually loses its clarity and develops a bluish or grayish transparent "haze." This change is often more noticeable when viewing the eye from the side. While the exact cause isn't fully understood, it's believed that the lens hardens over time as part of the natural aging process. Please note that lenticular sclerosis is different from cataracts.

Fortunately, lenticular sclerosis typically does not significantly affect a dog’s vision. Unlike many other eye conditions that may require surgical treatment, lenticular sclerosis does not require any medical intervention, and there are no medications that can reverse these changes. However, you can still support your little one's overall eye health with the help of certain supplements, such as:

NHV OcuLove: This is an herbal formulation with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibiotic-like properties. This supplement is designed to support overall eye health, enhancing circulation and oxygenation around the eyes and helping maintain healthy eye function. It's the main formula we recommend for any eye-related condition.

NHV Petomega 3: This formula contains omega-3 oils, which can promote overall health and comfort and support many vital organs, including the eyes. They also support healthy cell growth and help reduce inflammation.

NHV Turmeric:  This formula can add extra antioxidant and anti-inflammatory support to their regimen. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, it would not only support the eyes but also help reduce inflammation in general and promote overall health, making it a good option for supporting senior pets.
