As I understand, many of NHV products are based on vegetable glycerin which I know is harmless for pets. But I heard that too much glycerin can increase blood sugar, and cause of diabetes. Can you tell me how much glycerin there is per 100ml bottle?

When extracting the medicinal properties from a herb, a base such as glycerin or alcohol is used. If alcohol is used and meets certain criteria, it is known as a tincture.

We use non-GMO vegetable glycerin as our base to extract the medicinal benefits from each herb safely. This also helps improve palatability and ensures the supplements are safe for long-term use.

It's worth noting that glycerin is considered to have zero net carbs, making it a suitable ingredient for diabetic pets. Both the FDA and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) classify vegetable glycerine as a safe and functional preservative when added to pet food.

The dosage twice daily does not contain enough glycerin to cause a spike.

Our supplements are veterinarian-formulated, have been on the market for 25 years, and have been clinically researched at universities. Safety and efficacy are our top priorities.
