I have a 19-year-old old female kitty that has CKD and is on fluids every other day. She also has a growth in her brain that an MRI could not verify as a tumor or not. She also has a bit of arthritis, and bouts of pancreatitis due to the CKD. What would you recommend that might be of assistance to her?
For kidney disease we recommend Tripsy. It is our main kidney support supplement. It helps to detoxify the kidneys, inhibits infection and soothe any discomfort associated with kidney disease.
Along with the Tripsy, for more advanced kidney disease, we recommend the Milk Thistle.
If there is inappetence, as is often the case with chronic renal kitties, we would recommend the Yucca. It has soothing properties on the GI tract and also helps to stimulate appetite.
For arthritis we have a few supplements which can be helpful, but in this particular case the Turmeric would be best. It not only helps with joint pain and inflammation, but with inflammation that she occasionally experiences in her pancreas. The Yucca is also a great natural pain relief which we also often recommend for joint pain.
