If your kitty is noticing the supplements in her food, we would recommend trying a few other novel ‘treats’ to administer the supplements. You can try some tuna juice or a small amount of yogurt. You may also consider trying some bone broth. It’s very nutritious and delicious and cats can’t resist it when it’s warmed a bit. We do have it available on our website, or you can make it at home. It is available in stores as well, but please be careful as most commercial bone broths contain onions, which are quite toxic for cats and dogs. Alternatively, you can also try giving her the supplements directly into her mouth, though some kitties are quite opposed to that. If you do try this method, don’t be alarmed if she drools and foams, this is a fairly normal, albeit dramatic, reaction from kitties when giving them something they’re not quite used to.
I can’t get my cat to eat her soft food with the drops. How else can I get her to ingest the supplements?
